For those of you that have a boudoir shoot coming up or even thinking about booking, here are some fantastic boudoir readiness tips to help your day go as smoothly as it can.

  • Bring Extra Everything

A boudoir session is often a one and done for most, so you'll want to do this right, and every part should be perfect. If you're spending time and money into your boudoir session, the last thing you want is to have a split in your bodysuit or a run in your stockings the day of your shoot. If you have a substitute, you can switch and save the session.

Make sure to bring some makeup along with you. During the shoot, you'll want to touch up or maybe change your lip color for a different look so that you stay looking fresh and glamorous.

  • TAKE THE TIME TO TRY OUTFITS ON

It's no secret that our bodies change over time; we lose or gain weight, have children, and spend more time at the gym. Some things that used to look great on us just won't anymore, and some things that we couldn't quite fit into we will rock now. Also, clothes that have been in the closet, depending on the matter, will change with time. If you bring an outfit you haven't worn in a while to your session, you could be in for a surprise.

Take the time to try all your potential outfits on BEFORE your shoot, so you don't have "whoopsy"!

On the day of your shoot, you want to feel self-confident, sensual, on top of the world. Bring outfits that make you feel that way. If nothing in your closet doesn't bring out your inner J-lo, maybe it's time to go shopping. Your upcoming Boudoir session is definitely an excuse to go shopping.

  • Wear Loose Fitting Comfy Clothes to your boudoir session

Skip the bra, socks, watch, forget that belt, those tight jeans, and anything else that could leave an impression in your skin. It may seem like a small thing, but these lines can dampen the look of a great photograph. Besides, you want to relax and feel confident, and tight clothes will only restrict you.

  • Book your Appointment Date after Aunt Flow visits

Nobody wants to spoil an empowering Boudoir session because they're irritable, cramping, and bloated. Instead, book the week after your period when you're high energy and feeling normal again!

  • Touch up the basics

If you dye your hair, get your hair done a few weeks before your Boudoir Session. Shave or wax, the day of if possible, and splurge for a mani-pedi. You'd be amazed at how these little details can make or break a photo session. These photos are going to be around for a while, reminding you of just how wonderful you look, don't skimp on the small stuff.

XO,
